BEYOND COMPETITION: SPORT AND SPIRITUALITY

Part of Flow is some system of measurement to know if we are developing skill or merely replicating a static state. Throughout our competitive sport life we compare our performance with best in age category, best in the world, then as masters competors again best in age category. Moving beyond competitive standards, we begin to develop a sense of mastery of form, an approximation of an ideal of perfect form. As these glimpses of spirituality become more frequent and extended in consciousness as we practice our sport, we attain heightened states of spiritual unity with our source.
